AN OPEN LETTER TO BEAUTY THERAPISTS

Sometimes it can be difficult for a business owner to convey to her team the importance of high performance, passion and commitment without coming off looking ‘greedy’, unrealistic or demanding. 

Someone else saying the things that need to be said is often an effective, more convincing way to do it. That’s why I have written the Open Letter to Beauty Therapists. I wrote it as a tool for you, the business owner and as a much needed message to your therapists.

Print the letter and distribute it to your team. Add to the agenda to one of your Staff Meetings or put aside some time, for a mini meeting on this. Get one of the therapists to read out loud and then discuss how they feel about the letter and get each therapist to share what she feels she could do secure herself as an extraordinary therapist and employee to the business.

As long as you keep this letter in tact and not copy its content to pass as your own, you have permission to use this as an accountability tool. This letter would be a great addition to your Policies and Procedures Manual. Once a team member has read it, get them to sign off on it inside of your manual. Ideal for team members joining new to your business.

 Make sure you refer to it when someone isn’t performing or acting as required. Remind them of their commitment to its contents.
